8. Making targeted use of the WLP Course and of related tools and facilities
8a. The WLP project had the task to develop a WLP Course that would promote European know-how on partnership development and the use of related tools and facilities.
The concept for the WLP course is based on a relatively open structure. Therefore, it can be used as a basis for a training course or as a guide for self-organised learning.
The WLP Course is based on four Learning Areas:
- Partnership creation and use of basic analyses,
- Planning of partnership-based learning arrangements,
- Support for partnership-based learning activities,
- Making use of web services and platforms.
The aim of the course is to promote the expertise of teachers, trainers (and other interested professionals) in analysing, developing, monitoring and reviewing workplace learning.
8b. The WLP Course is linked to different sets of WLP tools, case stories and multimedia products as well as to external services and facilities:
- The WLP tools for groundwork: These tools are based on the Learning Potential Analysis (LPA) and support partnership building processes with relevant data,
- The WLP tutorial tools: These tools address pedagogic and organisational questions concerning the development of partnership cooperation, networked learning and links between formal and non-formal learning,
- The WLP case stories and multimedia products: These knowledge resources have a special role in illustrating the issues on workplace learning and partnership cooperation,
- External services and facilities: The role of external resources and facilities is crucial for the development of web-based support structures for workplace learning partnerships.
