Work and learning partnerships at Endress and Hauser
European policy-makers have put great emphasis on issues like 'European mobility' and 'transparency of qualifications'. This is related to European developments in Higher Education like the Erasmus exchanges and the Bologna process.
The concern of the Work and Learning Partners project is how to promote trans-national cooperation in vocational education, training and learning. In particular the project is interested in the role of workplace-based learning. We know that there are many difficulties because the systems and training cultures differ from each other to a great extent.
The experience of the Endress and Hauser enterprise shows how a trans-national cooperation programme can link different systems and training cultures.
The video examines:
- The organisation of the training
- Trans-national cooperation
- Certification of training
Whilst the programme of the Endress and Hauser enterprise is a special case and it is related to a longer tradition of cross-border cooperation, it provides an example of practical cooperation that is relevant for all parties involved - the Endress and Hauser companies, the vocational schools or training centres and the learners themselves.
