In a recent posting I informed of the WLP Web resources. In this context I presented the new element - the WLP Wiki. Becaue of technical problems it has become necessary to have a backup. Therefore, WLP Wiki is also available on the ITB website.
Last week we introduced the WLP Wiki on the WLP website. After an intensive working period we have discovered some technical problems that need attention. In order to keep the work going we have set up a backup page on the ITB website (see the attached link).

In the next postings the web links to WLP wiki will be given to both websites.

Functionality of the wiki
I think that the lack of a text editor with more advanced functions means that the input should be kept as 'clean' as possible. Hence it is important that large chunks of text from Word documents are 'cleaned' (of rogue html characters) before being entered. This process will mean that bullet points etc. can be correctly formatted - complex tables though will remain beyond the reach of this simple editor to do deal with. However, in any case, I think it does not accord with 'good practice' to have large amounts of text to read on screen. Rather than sectioning large reports it may be better to seek to introduce them in one or two paragraphs and then poin to the reports as pdf or word files. This also means it may be helpful to point to things stored both within the wiki format and in the index folders.

This is just to inform that the technical problems that prevented us from using the WLP Wiki of the WLP project website have been overcome. Both versions will be updated and harmonised when further resources are added.
